There is a crucial reason why the UCLA student newspaper, the Daily Bruin, focuses intense scrutiny on how UCLA admits students through its front gate—or its "side door," as the case may be.  Likewise, there is a crucial reason why these same UCLA student reporters do not investigate or report on how their university is kicking their classmates out its backdoor.  In fact, the immensely popular, Oscar-winning movie, Spotlight, provides this reason.
