The University of California Berkeley seal: Let There Be NO Light

There is a crucial reason why the UC Berkeley student newspaper, The Daily Californian, focuses intense scrutiny on how UC Berkeley admits students through its front gate—or its "side door," as the case may be.  Likewise, there is a crucial reason why these same UC Berkeley student reporters do not investigate and report on how their university is kicking their classmates out its backdoor.  In fact, the immensely popular, Oscar-winning movie, Spotlight, provides this reason.
